Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight-week program which is documented to cultivate:

This 8-week MBSR course meets Sundays at Square One Yoga

Jan 27 - March 17

5:00pm - 7:30pm

Daylong session Saturday March 2nd

9:30am - 4:30pm


The course fee includes 30 hours of instruction, 10 downloadable mp3 files with more than 3 hours of guided meditation, Jon Kabat Zinn's book Full Catastrophe Living and payment processing.


Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts.  It is now offered at more than 600 institutions worldwide. The practice is founded in meditation and a growing understanding that awareness brings relief.

Augusta Hopkins of Mindfulness for Stress Reduction and Success

Augusta is an experienced, colorful, creative instructor, passionate about mindfulness practice.  Engaged in movement and meditation since 1977.  Practiced mindfulness and movement in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and France.  Co-founded SF Sangha.

Trained with leading MBSR instructor and author Dr. Bob Stahl.  Mentored by and co-taught with Renee Burgard LCSW, senior Bay Area MBSR instructor for Apple, Google and Stanford.

Received lay ordination from Thich Nhat Hanh, her primary teacher, and is a lay member of the Order of Interbeing.
