Description

In 2019 we are offering many herbal training workshops that can be attended individually or can all be attended as an herbal training program. Anyone who attends 5 or more workshops will have the option free of charge to join our easy and fun online herbal learning portal community to deepen their herbal education.

Here are the dates of the program: All take place in Columbia River Gorge. Most at The Yarrow School of Collective Wellness in Hood River. Some meet in the feild and on farms.


February 22nd 6-830 Botany for Herbalists with Gradey Proctor

February 23rd 12-5 Herbal First Aid and First Responder Skills with Missy Rohs

March 9th: Angelica Medicine 10-5pm with Katie Keath
Deep immersion into Angelica medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making and full class on how to engage with Angelica medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual wellness with Katie Keath Silva and Saliha

March 28th 10-3 Early Bloomers in the Gorge with Gradey Proctor

April 13th: Nettle Medicine 10-5pm with Katie Keath
Deep immersion into Nettle medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making and full class on how to engage with Nettle medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual wellness with Katie Keath

May 4th: Dandelion Medicine 10-5pm with Katie Keath
Deep immersion into Dandelion medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, deep direct plant relationship, medicine making and a full class on how to ethically engage with Dandelion medicine for physical, emotion and spiritual wellness with Katie Keath

August 20th- Herbal Medicine for The people
Join letty and shiny from Sacred Lattice Collective School for a workshop on making herbal remedies for the people. This class will focus on medicine making for street fairs, community gatherings, and other spaces of collective action. shiny and letty will share their perspectives on non-alcoholic extraction methods for physical and mental health first aid. By the end of this workshop participants will be able to craft oxymels and other vinegar-based extractions, glycerites, and salves and ointments for topical use; students will leave with an assortment of remedies they have crafted as a collective. Other topics covered will include building out your basic community herbal response kit, planning and logistics for attending events where aid may be needed, and a high-level overview of how to talk to community members before and during offering aid.


August 31st Elderberry Medicine 10-5pm with Katie Keath
Deep immersion into Elderberry medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making, deep direct plant relationship and a full class on how to ethically engage with Elderberry medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual healing

September 12th 10 am local herb walk with Katie Keath location TBA INCLUDED IN YOUR TUITION

September 28th Oak Medicine with Katie Keath 10-5pm
Deep immersion into Oak medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making, direct deep plant relationship and a full class on how to engage with oak medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual wellness

October 19th Oregon Grape Medicine with Katie Keath 10-5pm
At Shayne and Kathryn’s land in The Gorge
Deep immersion into Oregon grape medicine through ceremony, song, harvest, medicine making, deep direct plant relationship and full class on how to ethically engage with Oregon grape medicine for physical, emotional and spiritual wellness

November: This month is a time to integrate all that you have learned and get support in completing your goals and deciding where to go next with your herbal studies. We will have presentations of the plant you focused on for the 10 months and a closing ceremony. The dates will be chosen by poll for participants and the process is flexible and some can also be done by phone and email if needed.

To register for the above program is $575

If taken individually, The botany class is $35, The First Aid class is $65 and each celebrating plants class is $65 Lip[ Balms is $40 and Medicine for the people is $50

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Scholarship = $90 ( materials fees only ) for full program


We will also have an easy to use online herbal study platform that is included free of charge for people who register for the whole program or 5 or more classes, that you can optionally add to your program to enhance and deepen your herbal studies with us.
