Event Details

The GREAT TOUR is a celebration of Philadelphia and the hundreds of museums, cultural venues, sites and organizations that it offers tourists and residents alike. It showcases the talents, expertise and commitment of our hard working tour guides and the pride they have in their city. You'll learn about Center City Philadelphia from William Penn's original "Greene Countrie Towne," to the sprawling 21st century metropolis.

This 12-hour tour covers the city from river to river, from Pine Street to Vine Street.

The tour takes place in four separate two and a half hour phases; take just one phase, or take them all. Each phase begins at a Philadelphia landmark launch site. See the locations below.

Each phase visits as many as 25 cultural and historic sites.

You can walk the whole tour from start to finish, or join any single phase at any of the staging points.

There will be flash visits to some sites.

All the tours are conducted by expert APT certified guides.

Celebrity interpreters including Dolley Madison, Octavius Cato, Councilman Squilla and CDC President Paul Levy

Registration for any or all phases registration is just $20, $ 10 early bird(until Labor Day), $ 25 day of event.
