Outrun Hunger is a fundraising event supporting Feeding South Florida's mission to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.
You can become a hunger hero for Feeding South Florida by raising funds to outrun hunger! Let friends, family and colleagues know why you are participating and collect donations toward ending hunger in South Florida. With a 98% efficiency rating, your dollar stretches further; for every $1 donated to Feeding South Florida, we can provide 6 meals.

Please Note: Baby joggers and strollers are allowed in the 5K but must assemble at the back of the pack at the start of the race. We ask that you stay to the right while out on the course so that other participants can safely pass. The City of Fort Lauderdale welcomes well-behaved dogs on leashes in the park.

$30 per registrant from January 1 to February 10
$35 per registrant on race day

RACE DAY SCHEDULE
Saturday, February 11, 2017 - rain or shine!
On-Site Registration & Packet Pickup: 7:00AM
Run/Walk Start: 7:30AM
Recognition Ceremony: 8:15AM
LOCATION AND ROUTE
32 E Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
The course starts at the park and runs along the Rio Vista trail before finishing along the beautiful and scenic Riverwalk. PDF map of the USATF-certified course.
There is municipal parking available in and around the park. The closest paid parking is at the City Park Garage. To view map, click here. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with additional parking needs.
The City of Fort Lauderdale recommends that participants utilize the Pay By Phone app for smartphones to facilitate the parking process.
Timing services are provided by Split Second Timing, with live results posted immediately following the race.
Medals will be given to the top 3 male and female overall finishers during our awards ceremony.
Medals will also be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers per age category: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
During our awards ceremony, we will also recognize the biggest teams and greatest fundraisers!
