WILDFIRES CAN HAPPEN IN AUSTIN!! JOIN US TO LEARN MORE!

The Austin Fire Department's 7th Annual Wildfire Community Preparedness Symposium

Friday, May 3, 2019 - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Doors open at 8:30)

Asian American Resource Center, 8401 Cameron Road., Austin, TX 78754

Continental Breakfast and Lunch will be provided to those registered by Friday, April 19.

Austin has had a wet winter, but things can change quickly when it comes to wildfire - especially during the summer. (Check out our Austin Wildfire Risk Viewer at www.atxfire.com to find out about the wildfire risk in your neighborhood!) This photo is from the 2011 Steiner Ranch wildfire (courtesy of Anna Culina).

Please join us to learn more about wildfire in Austin and what you can do to prepare your home for wildfire.

We will explain your risk, explore the impact of Austin’s rapid population growth on wildfire risk, hear from a wildfire survivor, talk about evacuation, and discuss ways to help your home and family be wildfire resilient.

****IMPORTANT NOTE****

REGISTRATION - INCLUDING LUNCH - IS OPEN UNTIL FRIDAY, APRIL 19, SO WE CAN GET OUR ORDER IN TO THE CATERER.

REGISTRATION AFTER APRIL 19: LUNCH ON YOUR OWN

REGISTRATION CLOSES ON FRIDAY, APRIL 26!

THANKS, AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!
