About this Event

Historic Yorktown will be full of holiday cheer Friday, December 4, as the holiday season begins with the 76th Annual Tree Lighting. Guests will be entertained by the TRADOC Arsenal Brass Band at 6:30 p.m. Followed by a performance of the Fifes & Drums of York Town at 7 p.m.

This year we will not have activities at the Yorktown Monument. All activities will be held in the Riverwalk Landing area.

Once the Fife and Drums finish, the tree lighting ceremony will begin. Immediately followed by a virtual message from Santa. The Freight Shed will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for the public to write holiday cards to military personnel and Santa. We ask that during the event that the public adheres to the Virginia Phase Guidelines by practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
