There are three stages of man: he believes in Santa Claus; he does not believe in Santa Claus; he is Santa Claus.”Bob Phillips

Interacting with others is positive and staying home is certainly not healthy and does nothing to lessen the impacts of MS.  Get out of the house and share your thoughts and experiences with other men who have MS.

Open discussion is a staple of this group.  Just as aerobics is exercise for the body, being with other men who have MS is exercise for the psyche.  Sometimes, we don't even talk about MS!  It's up to the guys.

Proposed Meetings for 2019:
  • January 5
  • February 2
  • March 2
  • April 6
  • May 4 (No meeting if Walk MS Denver)
  • June 1
  • July 6
  • August 3
  • September 7
  • October 5
  • November 2
  • December 7
No whining: we approach MS from a man’s point of view.  Our discussions are informal with an open meeting atmosphere.  We encourage and benefit from the exchange of experiences and thoughts.

The men in this small group share what’s on their minds and how they’ve dealt with issues raised by others and suggestions for coping.  Confidentiality is a mainstay.

FAQs
  • Is there a charge to attend?
No.  This group is put together by men with MS who volunteer to organize and coordinate the meetings.
  • Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
If you are a male with MS and at least 18 years old, you meet the requirement!
  • How many men can attend?
We meet in a small conference room that can accommodate 8 to 10 people.  However, we are an intentionally small group and anticipate between 3 and 5 people.
  • RSVPs are greatly appreciated but not required.
  • What about accessibility?
Plenty of disabled parking and NO steps.
  • What are the topics?
Be aware, endorsement of any drug therapy is neither intended nor implied by the Men’s Group or National MS Society.  Discussion of religion and/or politics and sales pitches are forbidden.
  • Why are we called 70/Four70?
Simply because we meet in the area not far from the intersection of Interstate 70 and Colorado toll road E-470.
  • Is there a contact for this group?
    Yes, email George via geo3064@hotmail.com
  • Who sponsors the group?
The Colorado-Wyoming Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
