This is a rare opportunity to explore the more esoteric aspects of Hatha Yoga, not often taught in the West. Deepen your awareness of your own Energy and Self through Yoga Asanas, Meditation, Pranayama (Yogic breathing) and Sound to balance and harmonise your Chakras & become aware of your Deep Self. These workshops form part of a 7 week course where drop ins are possible subject to space. Suitable for all levels, including complete beginners. The next complete 7 week course will be in Spring 2019, so join now! If you are able to join for the whole course, you will drop more deeply into your Yoga & Meditation practice & receive the support of Fouzia and the group for 7 weeks.

OVERVIEW OF WORKSHOPS

There will be a weekly 3 hour Hatha Yoga and Meditation workshop every SATURDAY from 27 Oct - 8 Dec 2018 from 1pm-4pm with:
☼ A special focus on one Chakra each week;
☼ A unique Talk on a topic of Yogic Philosophy (incl The Chakras, Polarity of Energy, Yamas and Niyamas- moral ethics) or purification with Q & A; and
☼ A unique Yoga Social where you can ask questions on your own Yoga and Meditation practice and connect with others
☼ This course is suitable for all levels.

Each session will focus on warming up the energetic body, Asanas (poses), Pranayama (breathing), Meditation and will end with a deep guided Relaxation. Sound is also powerful at moving stuck energy so each session will also include a Meditation to music and often Pranayama with Sound. The 2 hour Hatha Yoga and Meditation practice will be followed by a lecture on a topic of Yogic philosophy or purification with Q & A.

This is a unique opportunity to explore the more esoteric aspects of Yoga, not often taught in the West. If you feel called to join, it will be an honour to support you . My Intention for this course & workshops is for you to be able to connect to your Inner Peace and Joy, and to live a life of Grace and Ease in alignment with your Higher Self.

The workshops take place on the 2nd floor of Galloway House (4 mins walk from Crossharbour DLR exiting on Pepper St & turn LEFT at end of Pepper St or 12 mins walk from Canary Wharf station). Galloway House (not shown correctly on Google maps) is next door to Docklands Real Estates (which is on Google maps).

GUIDANCE FOR WORKSHOPS & TIMINGS

☼ Ideally it is best not to eat for 2 hours before our workshop :).

☼ ** Please arrive 12.45pm for a 1pm start. Please arrive on time as DOORS CLOSE 1PM & you will need to buzz to gain entry after 1PM (last entry 1:10PM) which disturbs the session as we start with an Opening Meditation so please be on time.

☼ It is very likely you will leave each session feeling deeply relaxed and I would suggest allowing a little time for yourself after the session, rather than rushing to your next appointment!

SCHEDULE OF WORKSHOPS

☼ 27 OCT: Root Chakra (Muladhara Chakra)- related to grounding, vitality, safety, security, connection to the Earth

☼ 3 NOV: Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana Chakra)- related to creativity, imagination, pleasures of the senses, imbalances such as jealously, envy or possession, connection to the Water element

☼ 10 NOV: Navel Chakra (Manipura Chakra)- related to our willpower, self-confidence, courage, ambition, passion, dynamism, connection to the Fire element

☼ 17 NOV: Heart Chakra - Heart Chakra (Anahata Chakra)- related to unconditional love, peace, harmony, compassion, forgiveness, kindness, patience, connection to the Air element

☼ 24 NOV: Throat Chakra (Vishuddha Chakra)- related to an ability to communicate and express our authentic self, spiritual intuition, purity, connection to the Ether element

☼ 1 DEC: Third Eye (Ajna Chakra)- related to mental insight, intuition, focus, concentration, paranormal powers

☼ 8 DEC Crown Centre (Sahasrara)- related to Divine wisdom, your Higher Self, transcendence, lucidity

***DIRECTIONS***NOTE Google maps does not show the correct location of Galloway House, 57 Millharbour! It is next door to Docklands Real Estates which is on Google Maps. The nearest station is Crossharbour DLR (4 mins). Simply exit station and walk down Pepper St away from the station. At the end of Pepper St, turn LEFT and 57 Galloway House is next to Docklands Real Estates. There are 2 black benches in front of the building and a big green sign above that says 57 Galloway House. It is also a 12 min walk from Canary Wharf station.

MORE INFORMATION ON THE YOGA

We will practice a gentle, slow-paced, Chakra Balancing, Meditative form of Hatha Yoga, in which poses are held for several minutes and work deep into the muscles and connective tissues. This allows for the mind to move away from the body, so that the physical body is allowed to release layers of tension, relax & heal, increasing your sense of wellbeing. The focus is on moving energy through the body and activating the Chakras, which are potent energy centres that govern different physical, emotional/energetic aspects of our being. Ultimately the focus is on deepening your awareness of the Stillness that lies within. The Yoga helps to develop a deep sense of inner awareness, calms the nervous system, clear blockages, balances the mind, and improves health & flexibility. The practice ultimately helps to cultivate awareness of your Divine Self. Suitable for all levels, it provides wonderful balancing and harmonising qualities to our busy lifestyles.

This is a gentle approach to Yoga poses in which we move slowly, and focus on the different Chakras during the poses, in a non-competitive environment that is welcoming to all. You will feel a deep sense of inner Calmness, Relaxation, connection to your Divine Essence and a state of increased Wellbeing. Yoga ultimately opens the path towards Inner Transformation.
