Would you like to increase your levels of relaxation, reduce stress & anxiety & become aware of your Divine Self? Are you looking for more Inner Peace, Joy, Love, Balance and Harmony in your Life?

If so, this is a rare opportunity to explore the more esoteric aspects of Hatha Yoga (Agama Yoga), not often taught in the West. Deepen your awareness of your own energy through Yoga Asanas, Meditation, Pranayama (Yogic breathing) and Sound to balance and harmonise your Chakras & become aware of your Deep Self. The next 7 week course I will offer will be in April/May 2017, so join now if you feel the call! It is also possible to drop into particular sessions, subject to space.
Places are limited to ensure an intimate class size with personalised attention, so book early. This course is suitable for all levels.

In this unique 7 week course, there will be a weekly 3 hour Hatha Yoga and Meditation workshop every Sunday from 30 October-11 December 2016 from 2.30pm-5.30pm with:
• A special focus on one Chakra, starting from the Root Chakra in Week 1 and ending with the Crown Centre in Week 7;
• A unique Talk on a topic of Yogic Philosophy (incl The Chakras, Polarity of Energy, Yamas and Niyamas- moral ethics, Purification) with Q & A; and
• A Yoga Circle where you can ask questions on your own Yoga and Meditation practice and connect with others

During each workshop, there will also be some Yoga Asanas (poses) for other Chakras, in order to have a balanced workshop. Sound is also powerful at moving stuck energy so each session will also include a Meditation to music and often Pranayama (yogic breathing) with Sound. By journeying together on this course for 7 weeks, you will be able to delve much deeper into your own practice. No previous Yoga experience is necessary. If you feel called to join, it will be an honour to support you during this course. My Intention for this course is for you to be able to connect to your Inner Peace and Joy, and to live a life of Grace and Ease. If you are unable to join for the whole 7 weeks, it is possible to drop in to individual sessions, subject to space.

It is very likely you will leave each session feeling deeply relaxed and I would suggest allowing a little time with yourself after the session, rather than rushing to your next appointment!

The workshop is on the beautiful top floor of The Haggerston on the corner of Kingsland Road and Richmond Road (5 mins walk from Haggerston or Dalston Junction Overground station).

Ideally it is best not to eat for 2 hours before our workshop :).

Please arrive around 10 mins early so that you can settle in before we start at 2.30pm prompt.

Oct 30 - Root Chakra (Muladhara Chakra)- related to grounding, vitality, safety, security, connection to the Earth

Nov 6 - Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana Chakra)- related to creativity, imagination, pleasures of the senses, imbalances such as jealously, envy or possession, connection to the Water element

Nov 13 - Navel Chakra (Manipura Chakra)- related to our willpower, self-confidence, courage, ambition, passion, dynamism, connection to the Fire element

Nov 20- Heart Chakra (Anahata Chakra)- related to unconditional love, peace, harmony, compassion, forgiveness, kindness, patience, connection to the Air element

Nov 27- Throat Chakra (Vishuddha Chakra)- related to an ability to communicate and express our authentic self, spiritual intuition, purity, connection to the Ether element

Dec 4 - Third Eye (Ajna Chakra)- related to mental insight, intuition, focus, concentration, paranormal powers

Dec 11- Crown Centre (Sahasrara)- related to Divine wisdom, your Higher Self, transcendence, lucidity

More Information on Agama Yoga:

I teach Agama Yoga, a slow-paced, Meditative form of Hatha Yoga, in which postures are held for several minutes and work deep into the muscles and connective tissues. This is an energy-based yoga practice, focused on moving energy through the body and activating the Chakras, which are potent energy centres that govern different physical, emotional/energetic aspects of our being. This is a gentle approach to Yoga poses in which we move slowly with a focus on the different Chakras, in a non-competitive environment that is welcoming to all. Suitable for all levels, it provides wonderful balancing and harmonising qualities to our busy lifestyles and perfectly complements more active styles of yoga.

The practice allows for the mind to move away from the body, so that the physical body is allowed to release layers of tension, deeply relax & heal, increasing your sense of wellbeing & physical health. It calms the nervous system, balances the mind, improves flexibility & brings you into greater harmony with your environment. But much more than this, the practice ultimately helps to cultivate awareness of your Divine Self, beyond the movements of the mind. This increased Self awareness will lead to greater Joy, Love, Peace & Harmony.

Each session includes an introduction to the Chakra we are focusing on, exercises to warm up the energetic body, Asanas (poses), Pranayama (breathing), Meditation and will end with a deep guided Relaxation. Each week, there will be a focus on a particular Chakra, including a Meditation to music on that Chakra. The 2 hour Hatha Yoga and Meditation practice will be followed by a talk on a topic of Energy or Yogic philosophy with Q & A.
