Event description

Description

Machu Picchu Peruvian Restaurant

This event is the 6th in the IFES (International Food and Entrepreneur Series). It aims to foster understandings and celebrate the diversity of contributions immigrants make to our local region and American society. This event, in particular, provides an opportunity to experience and learn about Peruvian cuisine and some of the stories behind immigration from Peru to the Lehigh Valley.

This evening event is in two parts-- a three course meal followed by a seminar discussion with the restaurant chef/owner(s).

Some of the relatives of the chef/owners are Penn State Lehigh Valley alums.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Your participation will be supporting the Lehigh Valley's small business sector, the immigrant business community, at large, and the broad values of inclusiveness and diversity that Penn State "All-In" represents. Please encourage students! Also encouraged are family and friends of Penn State!

$20 covers everything including food and tip. The restaurant is BYOB so please feel free to bring your beverage of choice. Just click on the green Register link and reserve your ticket(s). (The ticket says "Free" but that just means you need to pay in cash.)

If anyone wishes to help fund or partially fund a student it would be very appreciated! Recommended donations are $1, $2, $5, $10, $15, or $20. We will make sure to acknowledge our donors (without listing the amount of your donation). You do not have to attend the event to donate. And you do not have to donate to attend!

Please put your total amount in cash in an envelope labeled Machu Picchu with your name(s) on it and drop it off in room 307. (Please include any contribution you wish to make.) Thank you!

A very special thank you to all committee members who have contributed to our organizing and publicity efforts.
