Sessions and Tracks

On behalf of the committee, we welcome you to join the upcoming “6th International Conference on Neurodegenerative Disorders and Stroke” to be held during July 05-06, 2018 in Vienna, Austria.

Brain Stroke 2018 is a meeting of International level that involves Neuroscience organizations as well as Stroke committees to deliver their ideas on the future aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of Neurodegenerative disorders.

Neurological disorders, ranging from epilepsy to Alzheimer disease, from stroke to headache, are the diseases of the spines, brain and nerves that connects them.

A stroke is a medical emergency that requires early treatment that indicates early action can minimize brain damage and potential complications. A stroke happens when there is interruption in blood supply to brain and when it happens, the brain cells begin to die and Stroke is ranked as the second leading cause of death in the Europe.

Scientific Discussion on Stroke

Stroke occurs when an artery supplying blood to the brain either suddenly becomes blocked or begins to bleed which may result in part of the brain dying or leading to a sudden impairment that can affect a range of activities such as speaking, movement, thinking and communication.

Scientific Discussion on Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery is the medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis and surgery on brain, spinal cord and nervous system. Neurological aspects include the fundamental headways of neurosurgery coming into effect after the profoundly created apparatuses. These includes advanced neurosurgical devices or instruments, incorporate etches, curettes, dissectors, distractors, lifts, control devices, snares, suction tubes and robots.

Scientific Discussion on Management of Stroke

Therapies to prevent recurrent stroke are also a component of acute management which are similar to prophylactic medical or surgical therapies used for patients with transient ischemic attacks and high-risk patients.

The goal of neurosurgery is to restore blood flow to the brain and reduce the risk of stroke.

Scientific Discussion on Neuro Oncology

Neuro-Oncology is study of treatment for patients with cancers of the brain and nervous system.

There are some of the conditions and symptoms which includes: Acoustic neuroma, Brain metastases, Astrocytoma, Chordoma, Ependymoma, Craniopharyngioma, Glioblastoma multiforme, Glioma, Lymphoma, Meningioma, Medulloblastoma, Oligodendroglioma, Brain tumors, Pineal tumor and Schwannoma.

Scientific Discussion on Stroke and Mental Health

A stroke is an emergency of medical aspect that requires early treatment that indicates early action can minimize brain damage and potential complications. Person affected by stroke addresses cognition and/or behavioral problems that includes problems using languages, vision and perception problems and sudden bursts of emotions.

Scientific Discussion on Dementia

Dementia is a syndrome characterized by cognitive or memory impairments that describes the symptoms of a number of conditions that affects the brain. The commonly seen conditions are Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Symptoms seen at early stages are memory loss, personality changes, withdrawal and confusion.

Scientific Discussion on Neuro Diagnosis & Imaging techniques

Neurodiagnostic tests includes use of vital tools when a patient’s condition is thought to be based in the central nervous system. Development of techniques allows scientists to see inside the living brain and monitor the nervous system activity. So there are many imaging techniques available and it takes several time for processing.

Scientific Discussion on Behavioural Neurology

Behavioural Neurology is the systematic analysis and investigation of a person’s behaviour affected byneurological disorder and this is achieved by neuropsychology. Behavioural scientifical study is dedicated to enhance the understanding brain-behaviour relationships and the application of such knowledge to human problems.

Scientific Discussion on Risk Assessment and Prevention of Stroke

Risk assessment of stroke is the systematic process of evaluating the potential risk of stroke that may be involved in a projected activity. Various tools are being used for the assessment of stroke one of them is SRAT (Stroke Risk Assessment Tool) and it is based on complex algorithms that controls factors associated with stroke and chronic diseases. Prevention of stroke can be achieved by identifying and controlling personal risk factors such as high blood pressure, atrial fibrilllation, high cholesterol, diabetes and circulation problems.

Scientific Discussion on Neurodegenerative Disorders

Neurodegenerative disorders are the diseases that primarily affects the neurons of human brain. Neurons don’t reproduce themselves hence once they gets damaged they can’t be further replaced by the body. Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s diseases and parkinson’s diseases are the examples of neurodegenerative diseases.

Scientific Discussion on Stroke Rehabilitation & Recovery

Rehabilitation is an important phase for patients after stroke. The goal is to help you return to independent living. Rehabilitation program depends on the severity of stroke and the part of the body affected. Recovery from strokecan be achieved by undergoing therapeutic process, medications and recovery is a part of rehabilitation.

Scientific Discussion on Neurological Nursing & Clinical Training

Neurological Nursing includes doctors specialized in diagnosing patients and their problems and neurology nurses are one who trained to aid these doctors in the treatment of patients with neurological issues. Neurology nurse deals with giving both post-operative care and immediate care. Clinical training involves treatment procedures for strokes and many related disorders and the main approach of clinical training is to develop neuroprotective treatment approaches and establishing modest examination procedures such as motion analysis, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and OCT (optical coherence tomography).

Scientific Discussion on Therapeutics approaches of Neurological Disorders

Therapeutic approaches such as deep brain stimulation and neural stem cell technique are being advantageous in the treatment of neurological disorders. This conference provides a platform for the researchers to discuss and learn about new therapeutics evolved for neurological disorders.

Scientific Discussion on Clinical Trials & Case Reports

Clinical trials and case reports includes the involvement of larger groups of people confirming the effectiveness of a drug or treatment, monitor side effects, compare it to commonly used treatments, and collect information that will allow the drug or treatment to be used safely .This track gives researchers knowledge about new technologies, clinical trials and new aspects.

About Conference

On behalf of Pulsus group, we take immense pleasure in inviting all the participants from all over the world to attend the Neurology conference entitled “ 6th International Conference on Neurodegenerative Disorders and Stroke” to be held on July 05-06, 2018 in Vienna, Austria.

Stroke 2018 has been planning and aiming to stimulate new techniques for treatment of neurodegenerative disorders and stroke that would be beneficial for the neurosurgery.

The conference will be organized around the theme ‘Melioration in Innovations with advancement in Neurodegenerative disorders and Stroke.

Our goal is to bring together worldwide distinguished academics in the field of Neurology and Brain to exchange and share meaningful experiences of various treatment procedures for neurodegenerative disorders and stroke.

A stroke, can be called as a brain stroke, occurs when something blocks blood supply to part of the brain or when a blood vessel in the brain bursts. A stroke may come into effect by a blocked artery (ischemic stroke) or the leaking or bursting of a blood vessel (hemorrhagic stroke). People may have a temporary disruption of blood flow to their brain called transient ischemic attack.

Market Analysis

NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS

General Info: Neurological disorders, ranging from epilepsy to Alzheimer disease, from stroke to headache, affecting most of the people who are still under treatment and rehabilitation in Europe.

Neurological diseases are the diseases of the spines, brain and nerves that connect them. More than 600 diseases of nervous system are there such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, brain tumors, epilepsy etc.

Approximately one in six of the world’s population i.e around Up to 1 billion people, suffer from neurological disorders, from Alzheimer and Parkinson disease, strokes, multiple sclerosis and epilepsy to migraine, brain injuries and neuroinfections.

In Czech Republic neurological disorders are the deadliest causes of harm overall that accounts to 6.3% of total population and with a total of 7043.2 mortality rate.

Present Scenario: Global statistics shows that 50 million people are suffering from epilepsy, 62 million from cerebrovascular disease, 326 million from migraine, and 24 million from Alzheimer disease and other dementias.

As per UN WHO report as the global population ages, the impact of neurological disorders will be felt both in developed and developing countries, reaching a significant proportion in countries with a growing percentage of the population over 65 years.

In Europe, the neurological disorder is spraying in such a manner that it has been estimated that 35% of all disease burden is attributable to neurological disorders i.e affecting more than 160 million Europeans — 38% of the population each year. European Commission has significantly increased funding for research on brain diseases, with 5.3 billion euro ear-marked between 2007 and 2017. This sum, shared between the 165 million sufferers in Europe, works out at just over 3 euros per person per year.

In Czech Republic, the Specialized Centers is focusing on physical therapeutic approach for the treatment of adults and children suffering from neurological disorder. In Czech Republic, yearly more than 630 patients are hospitalized and provided treatment for approximately 4.350 out-patients within the department.

Scope at Verge: In order to reduce the impact of neurological disorders in overall world, innovative approaches involving strong partnerships are made to come in action. WHO in partnership with key non-governmental organizations developed a report in the field of neurological disorders and organizations caring for people affected by them. Presently drug medication is used as a scope to treat neurological disorder in Europe and the market for neurological disorder drugs has been extensively analyzed based on their usefulness, effectiveness, sales revenue and geographic presence. The market size and forecast in terms of US$ Mn for each disorder, drug class, distribution channel as well as geographic regions has been provided for the period from 2016 to 2024.

Rehabilitation as a medical field has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. Intensive, timely and professionally managed rehabilitation is the only scope at verge to bring impact on the results of neurological disorderstreatment both after surgery and during sickness.

STROKE

General Info: A stroke is a medical emergency that requires prompt treatment that indicates early action can minimize brain damage and potential complications. A stroke happens when there is interruption in blood supply to brain and when it happens, the brain cells begin to die.

Worldwide stroke is a leading cause of death and disability accounting for 1 in 10 deaths and a total of 44 million years of healthy life lost each year. The lifetime risk of stroke is 1 in 5 for women, 1 in 6 for men in whole world.

Across the European Union over the last two decades there has been a welcome reduction in the proportion of people having a stroke. According to the latest WHO data published in May 2014 Stroke Deaths in Czech Republic reached 10,394 or 11.86% of total deaths. The age adjusted Death Rate is 51.10 per 100,000 of population ranks Czech Republic #127 in the world

Present Scenario: Worldwide stroke has already reached epidemic proportions. Current trends suggest that the number of annual deaths will climb to 6.7 million by 2018 without appropriate action.

Stroke incidence rates in low- to middle-income countries in overall is exceeding than that of incidence rates seen in high-income countries by 20%. Today, 2 out of every 3 people who suffer from a stroke live in low- and middle-income countries. The Burden of Stroke in Europe is going on increasing and by the time between 2015 and 2035, overall there will be a 34% increase in the total number of stroke events in the EU.

The annual mortality rate per 100,000 people from stroke in Czech Republic has decreased by 36.4% since 1990, an average of 1.6% a year. For men, the deadliness of stroke in Czech Republic peaks at age 80+. It kills men at the lowest rate at age 10-14. At 2818.7 deaths per 100,000 men in 2013, the peak mortality rate for men was higher than that of women, which were 2561.1 per 100,000 women. Women are killed at the highest rate from stroke in Czech Republic at age 80+. It was least deadly to women at age 1-4.

Scope at verge: Various stroke campaigns like “One in Six Campaign” are being held to diagnose and treat strokeaffected people worldwide. People around the world are guided by National Clinical Guidelines for stroke that is covering the management of patients with acute stroke and the secondary prevention of stroke.

Therapeutic approach, Rehabilitation Centre and Medication Centre are the present scope to get back a normal life after being affected with stroke in Europe. NINDS shows the NIHSS score to be useful in identifying patients with higher haemorrhagic risk. Patients with a score of 20 or more on the NIHSS had a 17% chance of intracranial haemorrhage, whereas the risk of bleeding was only 3% among those with a score less than 10. So the early stage of stroke can be treated easily rather than the case becomes a major one.

Rehabilitation encompasses a long tradition within the Czech Republic as a medical field platform. Intensive, timely and professionally managed rehabilitation is that the solely scope at verge to bring impact on the results of medical specialty of stroke treatment by giving medications and different therapeutic approaches.
