NEW for 2019: PhD Career Spotlights

Wondering what it takes to launch a career as a freelancer or independent consultant, UX researcher, policy analyst, or as a scientist in the biotech industry? Four PhDs who work in these fields will each teach a one-hour seminar so you can learn about working in these career fields. Our seminar leaders will provide an overview of the industry, highlight skills PhDs already have that will allow them to succeed, explain what additional knowledge or experience you may need, and discuss entry level positions suitable for grad students or PhDs. Spotlights will be held in the evenings at 8 PM ET from Monday through Thursday of the week in between the two conference days.     Career spotlights will be recorded and available as a replay. Advanced registration required. Community members can attend Spotlights for free. The event replay will be added to the community platform.
