Event description

Description

Although disasters can affect anyone in a community, those with Disabilities and others with Access and Functional Needs (D/AFN) may require assistance to mobilize during an emergency or disaster. There are many unique and complex issues that should be considered when planning, evacuating, sheltering, and caring for these individuals during a disaster. This year, Contra Costa County’s 6th Annual Access and Functional Needs Forum will focus on lessons learned from those who responded to and were affected by the 2018 Butte County Fires and the Sonoma County Floods. You will have the opportunity to hear from first responders who supported the community and individuals with access and functional needs as well those who were directly impacted by the disasters. Join us and learn what you can do to prepare! Space is limited. Register today to secure your spot!
