Event Details

The Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Foundation invites you to the 6th Annual Covenanter Scottish Festival, to be held on the grounds of the Octorara Covenanter and Middle Octorara Presbyterian Churches. The location is near Quarryville in Lancaster County PA. Washington Memorial Pipe Band, Charlie Zahm and Tad Marks, Fire in the Glen, Rehobeth Welsh Choir and Harpist Kendrah Tozzo will be performing throughout the day. Athletes will be competing in the Penn’s Wall Highland Games, pipers will participate in solo pipe competitions and  Highland dancers will be competing. Scottish clans and organizations will be represented and vendors will be offering Scottish goods. Scottish food and locally made ice cream will be for sale. Demonstration will include: spinning and weaving, Irish dancers, a haggis ceremony, sheep herding and more. Plan to attend this Scottish Festival!!

Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Foundation

The Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational non-profit organization established in part to restore and maintain the Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Church and its attached school room as an historical site.  The Church is the oldest Covenanter Church in North America dating back to 1754.  The schoolroom, a Presbyterian Academy, was added to the Church about 1880.  From 1901 to 1927 the schoolroom housed Bart Township High School.
