We are excited to annouce the 6 Week Acting Intensive with Damien Wallace!

This Class with focus on diving deep into scripts and creating remarkable and memorable characters sure to leave an indelible mark in the minds of all audiences. You will also learn how to create 3 dimensional characters that are truthful and believeable to both the actor and the viewer. A summary of the curriculum is below:

Week1: The Audition (have prepared monologue)

Damien's Bio

Damien J. Wallace Actor, Director, Playwright, Acting Coach

Damien is a 40 year professional actor of the stage, film, and television. Some of Damien's film credits include McCannick w/David Morse. No Boundaries featuring Mark McGraw. Also brief appearance s in Philadelphia and Malcolm X Both featuring Denzel Washington. Some of Damien's theatre credits of nearly 300 productions include extensive work in the August Wilson cycle. Damien has captured the roles of Othello (Othello), Prospero (The Tempest),Baptista (The Taming of the Shrew). Damien can also be seen on several national and local commercial spots, such as, Charco Caps, I belong .org, and local spots for Mainline Health and Aetna.

He holds a BFA degree w/honors in theatre from Arcadia University. Additionally, Damien studIed acting under the tutelage of Vernon Blackman and Ty Collins direct disciples of Howard Meisner and Lee Strasburg respectively. Damien’s love for teaching began in 1989. He developed a program targeting at risk students in the Boston school district, by introducing them to classical theatre. Additionally, Damien was hired by the late John Allen to join the prestigous and historic Freedom Theatre. He also, since 2010, has been a teaching artist w/Interact Theatre. Lastly, Damien taught Drama, more specifally, Augdust Wilson Cycle as a curriculum, for the DeLaSalle in Towne School for adjudicated youth. Furthering his love for teaching Damien continues as a board member of the Fresh Vision Youth Theatre and Literary committee member for the Philadelphia Young Playwrights.
