TechBirmingham

TechBirmingham, incorporated as the Birmingham Area Technology Leadership Alliance, was created from the recommendations of the Birmingham Area Technology Task Force (“BATT Force”) in May 2002. TechBirmingham has taken the Strategic Plan issued by the BATT Force and created a roadmap for success. The roadmap has three parallel paths. First, help grow the large number of existing technology businesses and attract new companies to the area. Second, make sure that the business environment is tech-friendly through the attraction of new capital sources and strategic economic incentives. And third, work to create and improve a technology-capable workforce through various public-private partnerships.

In our fifth year of planning the TechMixer University, we felt it would be a to change things and combine with TechMixer Expo as a unique networking opportunity for our technology companies, corporations in addition to the great free training we can all use! We look forward to bringing you the best of the best from the last five years, and ask for you to nominate your favorite speakers! Nominate A Speaker This event is not possible without generous contributions from our sponsors. This year, we are planning an all-star event with two events in one! We encourage sharing sponsorships where it makes sense. We can help you work through that part, just let us know. We have some of the same types of event packages but this isn’t a typical event…We even gave it “name” this year…we call it the 5th/1st TMU & Expo, because it’s the fifth TMU and the first time ever mixed with Expo. Become a Sponsor. We can’t wait to share these two great events in support of Birmingham's technology ecosystem. We will keep you posted on the event; just follow our social media channels through TechBirmingham.
