Description

From March 5-8, 2018, the 5th Tri-National Symposium Celebrating the Sonoran Desert will address successes and continuing challenges of conserving the magnificent Sonoran Desert. The symposium will focus on cultural and natural resource issues, Native American tribal perspectives, and Sonoran Desert foodways.

The Symposium includes free field trips on Monday, and then on Tuesday through Thursday, a full schedule of plenary sessions, simultaneous topical sessions, poster sessions, networking time at receptions and meals.

FIRST select either the Entire Symposium for $125 or if you cannot attend the whole time, select the days you can attend: Tuesday $50, Wednesday $50, and/or Thursday $30. Meals are included.

SECOND, select a free Monday Field Trip. Please register for only one field trip per person!

Scholarships: Freeport McMoRan has provided a scholarship fund for those who need assistance. To apply, please register for the Symposium. When you choose your registration option (whole Symposium or specific days), click the button for Promotional Code, and then enter SCHOLARSHIP. This will eliminate the necessity of paying a fee while registering. When you get to the Check Out page, there will be a question whether you are applying for a scholarship. Answer "Yes" and the scholarship application questions will appear. Fill out the application. Complete your registration for Symposium and Field Trip. Event organizers will contact you about your scholarship request.
