5th Laredo Birding Festival (February 8-11, 2017)
Come bird on the border! Join us for our 5th annual Laredo Birding Festival, as we bird top Laredo hotspots along the Rio Grande and lush creek basins, as well as dozens of scenic South Texas ranches.
The LBF offers birders an opportunity to explore and observe hundreds of species of birds, with a professional field guide and a local Monte Mucho Audubon Society member on each of our intimate and custom-tailored trips.
This three day birding festival showcases the best of our prized birds and local flora and fauna. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks, transportation, professional field guide, and most entrance fees.
Don't miss our specialty trips: Bird Til You Drop (for two different counties), birding by kayak (two different trips), birding photography, and a 4 day post-Festival South Texas etravaganza excursion to catch even more phenomenal birds in our region.
Some of our prized birds include: White-collared Seedeater, Audubon's and Altamira orioles, Muscovy Duck, Scaled Quail, Green Parakeets, Grey Hawk, Green Jays, Ringed, Belted and Green kingfishers, and Red-billed Pigeon to name just a few.
