Hosted by Kenyans livingin Germany who recognized the need for stronger connections between diaspora professionals, employers, and support systems, this event aims to close the gap in career and business opportunities for individuals navigating new environments.

Whether you're a student, graduate, professional, or entrepreneur, this meetup is your chance to engage with experts, employers, and company representatives across various sectors. You’ll hear from individuals who have successfully entered the German job market, established businesses, and are now serving as links between their companies and new talent. Together, we'll explore the power of diaspora experiences in opening doors for others.

The event also addresses common challenges in the career journey, including balancing professional growth with family life, managing mental health, and staying connected to one’s roots. From learning how to register a business in Germany, to exploring courses like ERP during your studies, you'll find practical guidance to support your next steps.

Our Concept

Creating a strong professional network is essential for career growth—especially for migrants starting over in a new country. Young professionals often face challenges navigating the job market due to gaps in technical or soft skills, limited access to mentorship, or unfamiliarity with local structures.

Diaspora-led initiatives like ours play a vital role in bridging these gaps. By offering guidance, connections, and resources, we empower individuals to adapt and thrive. We’ve built the largest network of Kenyan professionals in Germany, connecting students, graduates, and experts across industries. Through this network, we provide mentorship, skills development, and opportunities—while fostering academic and business collaborations, including a pilot project between a German and Kenyan university.

About the Career & Business Meet-up

The goal of the meetup is to redefine our career and business aspirations by sharing the professional and soft skills needed to grow. We will also discuss how to build solid diaspora communities in Germany and explore sustainable investment opportunities in our home countries.
