Description

Collin College is pleased to announce the 5th Annual All Services Military Appreciation Ball. ALL students, staff, and faculty are invited to attend this free dinner gala celebrating all veterans who work at or attend Collin College. The event will be a formal affair (formal attire expected) including dinner and dancing at the McKinney Campus Conference Center.

We respectfully request that you DO NOT RSVP UNLESS you are sure you will attend. In order to keep the event free, we must strictly limit the number of attendees. For each person who submits an RSVP and then does not attend, that spot is simply left empty, and people who would have liked to attend are prevented from doing so. In addition, we are still charged for that dinner.

Once you have submitted your RSVP to the event, you must physically pick up your tickets by Tuesday, November 5th, at the Veteran Resource Centers:

  • Plano Campus, Room D-200 from Sean Sweeden
  • McKinney Campus, Room B122C from Yolanda Patton
  • Frisco Campus, Founders Hall- F141 from Lynnette Diego
  • Collin Higher Education Center- Suite 400 from Sarah Densmore

If you do not pick up your tickets by the deadline, your name will be removed from the RSVP list and someone on the waitlist will be moved forward. Tickets are required for entrance to the ball.

If you RSVP and realize that you will not be able to attend, we would appreciate if you return your tickets so they may be redistributed.

We truly appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation and look forward to seeing you at the ball!

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

A valid picture ID will be required if you wish to have a cocktail during the cocktail hour. We prefer guests to be at least 17 years old or older.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. The Military Appreciation Ball is a formal event. Therefore, service members may wear dress uniforms if appropriate, or gentlemen should wear a dark suit or tuxedo and ladies should wear an evening gown. Persons dressed inappropriately will not be admitted.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No. If you decide that you cannot attend the ball, please return the tickets to the person you picked them up from, and we will notify a waitlist person that tickets are now available.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes. The Eventbrite software should allow this.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes. No one will be admitted to the ball without their ticket.

Where can I pick up my tickets?

Tickets must be picked up by Tuesday, November 5th, at the Veteran Resource centers or Financial Aid & Veteran Services Offices,
