5K Run for Our Parks
Sun, April 2, 2017, 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM MST
Run for Our Parks is a great way to give back to the parks you love while doing something you enjoy. The course will take participants through the scenic Papago Park, known for its distinctive geological formations and its wide variety of typical desert plants, including the giant saguaro cactus. Run, Walk or Stroll and enjoy this Phoenix Point of Pride with generally smooth, easy treks with little elevation gain, making it a great place for a family or individual run or walk.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Phoenix Parks Foundation and our beautiful city of Phoenix Parks and Recreation programs. Whether you're going for a personal best, or simply want to give back to the parks and trails you use regularly, we invite you to join us! The course is dog friendly and wheel chair accessible.
Spectators, supporters and participants will also be treated to an Event Expo featuring many of the city of Phoenix Parks and Recreation programs and facilities. Come to the Inaugural Run for Our Parks and support your community.
