Peace is not just an absence of war or conflict. It also means freedom from fear of violence or oppression. Peace is fostered by and depends on compromise and therefore is started through thoughtful listening and communication to develop mutual understanding between all parties involved.
AIESEC is hosting the 5k Run for PEACE because our NGO feels a shared responsibility for the world and want to change it for the better. To do this, AIESEC is committed to developing the leadership potential of the world’s youth through cross-cultural exchanges. Come run/walk with us around the Tidal Basin, have some post workout treats and learn about going abroad with AIESEC and what our affordable volunteer and internship experiences can do for you! Everyone is welcome to attend!
However, if you find that you are unable to attend, feel free to donate by purchasing a donation ticket.
Or, if you're interested in an internship abroad or simply want more information about AIESEC you can also create an account on: opportunities.aiesecus.org
