Description

Multidisciplinary Pre-Conference

The preconference is intended for an interdisciplinary audience. The first session is a simulation exercise, designed to be an observation experience with opportunity to participate as part of the resuscitation team. For those who volunteer to participate in a scenario, there will be two groups of nine participants with random assignment of roles. Two resuscitation scenarios using high fidelity manikins will be conducted followed by a group debriefing.

The second session is a panel discussion featuring family advisory board members. They will discuss their contributions to workflow and process design in the ICU and stepdown settings and answer questions from the audience about the role of the family advisory board and the benefits of family participation and involvement.

The pre-conference is free of charge.
