Description

On Saturday, April 6, 2019 the Illinois Commission on Diversity and Human Relations (ICDHR) will commemorate the 51st anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Renaissance Hotel in Schaumburg Illinois(Address: 1551 North Thoreau Drive, Schaumburg Illinois) with a "Commemoration Dinner" event (6:00 pm, VIP and general reception; 7:00 pm dinner; black tie optional).

The purpose of this event is to commemorate the 51st anniversary of Dr. King's death by remembering and elevating the ideas for which he stood for.

The theme of this event is "We Are One," which is a theme which addresses the divide that now exists throughout our nation.

The keynote speaker for this event is Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, who is a lawyer and politician that was elected as the 42nd Attorney General of Illinois in January 2019. Prior to being elected as Illinois Attorney General, he served as Illinois State Senator of the 13th Legislative District (view Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul's web page / view bio).

The ICDHR is also proud to announce that this year it will honor Metta World Peace, 2010 Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball League Champion with the second annual "ICDHR Courage Award." This award recognizes Metta World Peace's efforts to improve community relations between police and youth in the Los Angeles California metropolitan area (view Metta World Peace's Wikipedia page / website).

- Benefactor sponsorship ticket ($6,000) includes 20 dinner tickets, preferred seating at the dinner, full page ad in dinner program, photo with Metta World Peace, invitation for four at VIP reception, corporate logo on cover of dinner program, and sponsor mention during evening announcements.

- Golden sponsorship ticket ($3,000) includes 10 dinner tickets, reserve seating at the dinner, invitation for two at VIP reception, corporate logo on cover of dinner program, and sponsorship recorded in dinner program.

- Silver sponsorship ticket ($2,000) includes 10 dinner tickets, corporate logo on cover of dinner program, and sponsor mentioned in dinner program.

- Individual sponsorship ticket ($375) includes 1 dinner ticket.

- Full page ad ($1,500) 8 inch by 10 inch page.

- Half page ad ($750) 8 inch by 5 inch page.

Note: For full or half page ads your camera-ready artwork (ad and/or logo) must be submitted no later than March 18, 2019 to mpierce1@alphagraphics.com and copy cbrooks@icdhr.org. All purchases are final.

Raffle ticket purchase requests may also be made via online form or purchased through this Eventbrite form to support the ICDHR Diversity and Inclusion Fund, which includes the grand prize of two round-trip airline tickets on Southwest Airlines to any domestic location in the U.S. and Puerto Rico:
