Event description

Description

The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice is excited to invite you to join us for our 50th Anniversary Celebration. This landmark event will be held at the Moakley Courthouse in Boston on October 18, 2018, and will raise funds to support our mission of fostering equal opportunity and fighting discrimination on behalf of people of color and immigrants.

In recognition of this remarkable milestone, we will be honoring civil rights hero Anita Hill. This event will feature an open bar and cuisine from minority-owned food businesses represented by the Lawyers’ Committee and its network of pro bono attorneys – all in a spectacular waterfront setting in the heart of Boston. All proceeds from the event will help ensure the sustainability of our life-changing and law-changing work. Now more than ever, our communities need legal support to help bend the arc towards justice.

This event will celebrate our legacy over half a century: integrating countless public institutions, including the Boston Public Schools and the Boston Housing Authority; fighting discrimination, racial profiling, and hate crimes; supporting the growth of small businesses; and advancing racial justice.

Individual tickets are also available for $250. We also have special sponsorship packages with access to our exclusive VIP Reception (please email reception@lawyerscom.org for details). More information is available at: http://lawyerscom.org/50-years/. We expect over 500 guests, including business, government, and community leaders. Your support will help us raise funds to sustain our groundbreaking work for another 50 years.
