Please join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Alpha Omega Chapter; the Tea Rose Foundation of Northwest Arkansas; the Rogers Public Library Foundation; and the Rogers Public Library for the fourth annual We Write For You Black children's book author and illustrator panel and book reading on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2 pm. This in-person event will be held at the Rogers Public Library and is free and open to the public. Eventbrite registration is required as seating is limited. Children ages 0 to 17 will receive free books, and food and drinks will be provided for all attendees. Representation matters!
Join us as we hear from four award-winning national authors and illustrators and celebrate their works!
This year's event features: Ashley Franklin, author of Not Quite Snow White and Better Together Cinderella; Vashti Harrison, author and illustrator of Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History and Little Legends: Exceptional Men in Black History; Rafael Lopez, illustrator of the award-winning The Day You Begin and The Year We Learned to Fly; and Rita Williams-Garcia, author of the award-winning One Crazy Summer and A Sitting in St. James.
