Event description

Description

This family-friendly concert series combines the tastes and talents of East Nashvillians to preserve and enhance one of our city’s most unique landmarks, the Cornelia Fort Airpark. The shows run once a month June through September and offer music from local bands, craft beer from Yazoo Brewery, great wine from Woodland Wine Merchant and many local food vendors. Musicians are invited to bring an instrument for an extra drink ticket, and are encouraged to gather and jam the night away. 50 Shades of Hay:

With Wendy Newcomer on lead vocals, the boys bring the harmony like the Jordanaires did to Patsy. When Eamon McLoughlin takes the lead, he imparts his bluegrass & country passions while singing songs of Ricky Skaggs, Earl Scruggs and Willie Nelson. When the encyclopedia of country music Aaron Till sings lead, you witness great storytelling in song form. Some of Aaron's favorites include Ray Price, Roy Acuff and Jim Stafford. Featuring the accordion of Rory Hoffman, he brings the magic to round out the sound. Any audience member who's witnessed Rory's solos can attest to the outstanding creativity he brings to every show. He can also play guitar and mandolin equally as well, so occasionally we set him loose on an instrumental featuring his multi-instrument abilities. David Spicher brings the rhythm low end on a big upright bass. Comfortable with no drums, he along with guitarist Paul Kramer provide the rhythm bed.
