The piriformis is a small muscle located deep in the buttock that can affect the adjacent sciatic nerve. When it there is a muscle spasm or strain, tightening or swelling. Yoga to the Rescue!

Learn stretches to release your glut muscles including the piriformis. Do these two or three times a day to bring relief and help heal sciatica.
