About this Event

Why Singapore?

Singapore tops the Global Innovation Index's Asian region. World-wide, it is ranked between the UK and the USA as the 5th most innovative country. The country leverages strategic collaborations in the public-private-people sectors to drive growth in the social enterprise sector. Former president Tony Tan Keng Yam even launched the President’s Challenge Social Enterprise Award in 2012 to “inspire more individuals, particularly our youths, to develop business ventures that also serve social causes.”

Who Will You Meet?

During this field trip, you will meet 5 prominent players in Singapore's social entrepreneurship ecosystem - 1 intermediary organization, 3 award-winning social enterprises, 1 awareness-cultivating organization - in order to gain a full and deep understanding of the ecosystem.

The trip is curated as a dynamic, immersive and engaging experience. You will not just sit and listen, but will have opportunities to try the food, experience fun activities with impact, walk the iconic treetop trial. You will leave with a better understanding of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem and deep appreciation of the sustainable lifestyle in this garden country.
