About this event

In Fall 2019, we gathered over 600 scores from composers across the world. From a group of finalists, the members of KHORIKOS voted to select the ten winning submissions, and we began to prepare a concert to celebrate this amazing music in Spring 2020.

After the long freeze, KHORIKOS recalibrated -- as we began to meet again, we took on some smaller (but immensely rewarding) performance projects, and recorded a new album (coming soon!) -- and after a long wait we're finally ready to share the talents of the winners of our 4th ORTUS competition!

Join us in celebrating these dynamic, inspiring voices in choral music: Julia Adolphe, Thomas Bell, Nicholas Chuaqui, Phillip Cooke, Eva Holm Foosnæs, Seth Guerra, Hilary Purrington, Shruthi Rajasekar, Jessie Rivest, and Lili Tobias.

Their ten pieces will be performed on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at 7:30 PM, in our first ORTUS concert away from our home in Soho. Join us at the beautiful St Paul's Episcopal Church in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.

While we prepare for the performance, we’ll be showcasing each winner and their music through social media. Like us on Facebook and Instagram and subscribe to our mailing list to learn more about these composers, our upcoming concert, and KHORIKOS programs to come.

If your needs prohibit a $20 suggested donation for a ticket, but you'd like to attend, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.
