Track 1: Condensed Matter Physics

Condensed matter physics is an active, dynamic field of research and it is the largest sub-turf of modern physics. It studies the macroscopic and microscopic properties of matter and how matter arises from a large number of collaborating atoms and electrons. Condensed matter physics is often motivated by the search for new materials with astonishing properties. The condensed matter is considered one of the largest and most versatile branches of study in physics, primarily due to the diversity of topics and phenomena that are available to study.

Track 2: Materials Physics

Materials Physics is based on study and synthesis of modern materials, both for understanding fundamental physical phenomena and for contributing to further development of new technology. It understands the fundamental structure-property relationships in materials containing one-dimensional and two-dimensional materials such as carbon nanotubes, graphene and other layered nanomaterials. Present fields which are related to materials physics are optical and magnetic materials, electronic, novel materials and structures, quantum phenomena in materials, non-equilibrium physics.

Theoretical and computational materials physics is the advancement of modern theoretical and computation techniques. It is a research field where focus lies on modeling, predicting and ability to predict physical properties of crystal structures. Track 4: Experimental Condensed Matter and Materials Physics

Track 5: Soft Condensed Matter Physics
