Introduction:

Condensed matter and materials physics is the science of the material world around us. The curiosity about the natural world led to queries about condensed-matter systems, such as water, rocks, snow, ice, and how these react to light, heat, and mechanical forces. This hunger for fundamental understanding has been inextricably tied to the desire to manipulate nature by creating new materials to serve human needs. Condensed matter physics is the branch of physics that studies the properties of the large collections of atoms that compose both exotic and ordinary materials. Condensed matter and materials physics advances led in turn to the innovation of devices that now form the basis of much of our technological world, including the transistor, the integrated circuit, the laser, magnetic resonance imaging, liquid-crystal displays, and, more recently, high-efficiency solid-state lighting. Track 1: Condensed Matter Physics

Condensed matter physics is an active, dynamic field of research and it is the largest sub-turf of modern physics. It studies the macroscopic and microscopic properties of matter and how matter arises from a large number of collaborating atoms and electrons. Condensed matter physics is often motivated by the search for new materials with astonishing properties. The condensed matter is considered one of the largest and most versatile branches of study in physics, primarily due to the diversity of topics and phenomena that are available to study.

Track 2: Materials Physics

Materials Physics is based on study and synthesis of modern materials, both for understanding fundamental physical phenomena and for contributing to further development of new technology. It understands the fundamental structure-property relationships in materials containing one-dimensional and two-dimensional materials such as carbon nanotubes, graphene and other layered nanomaterials. Present fields which are related to materials physics are optical and magnetic materials, electronic, novel materials and structures, quantum phenomena in materials, non-equilibrium physics.

Track 3: Theoretical and Computational Materials Physics

Theoretical and computational materials physics is the advancement of modern theoretical and computation techniques. It is a research field where focus lies on modeling, predicting and ability to predict physical properties of crystal structures. This research development has been brought about by the remarkable technological progress especially that made over the past two decades, in the development of large scale computing facilities, and their ensuing utilization to the resolution of problems in physics which do not lend themselves to exact analytical treatments.

Track 4: Experimental Condensed Matter and Materials Physics

Experimental condensed matter and materials physics studies the behavior and structure of condensed states of matter where interactions between electrons, atoms, and molecules determine the physical nature of the material. Experimental materials physics provides a detailed treatment of various techniques useful for characterizing the structure and mechanical properties of materials. Advances in this field are often of equal importance for technological applications and also for improving our fundamental understanding of the nature of materials and matter.

Track 5: Soft Condensed Matter Physics

Soft Condensed matter is a turf of condensed matter physics. Many current theoretical descriptions of soft matter are derived through classical physics, and are frequently described using the tools of equilibrium and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, symmetry breaking and many body physics. These mesoscale constituents often organize into macro-scale materials and demonstrate many novel and unexpected phenomenon. Many of these soft materials are accustomed in everyday life and have a vast number of technologically important applications. For example we utilize personal care and food products that are comprised of materials such as granular matter, gels, foams, polymers, liquid crystals, emulsions.

Track 6: Magnetic Materials and Optical Materials

Magnetic materials enclose a wide range of materials and they have a diversity of industrial application and a share of research is done on these materials to decrease the losses while using. They are used in the distribution and creation of electricity and in most cases it is used in the appliances that use that electricity. In medicine, they are used in body scanners and in a range of applications where they are implanted into the body. Materials used to manipulate the flow of light are optical materials. Technology based on magnetic and optical materials is driving the information age through revolutions in communications.

Track 7: Solid State Physics

Solid-state physics major characteristic facilitates mathematical modeling of crystals. It is a general theory which emphases on crystals, because the periodicity of atoms in a crystal. Properties like magnetic, optical, electrical and mechanical of crystalline materials are often have that can be demoralized for engineering purposes. Solid state materials and the properties play an essential role and thus forms the theoretical basis of materials science, as well as having direct applications, for example in the technology of transistors and semiconductors.

Track 8: Meta Materials and Meta Surfaces

Meta-materials and Meta-surfaces are nanostructured artificial materials engineered to produce properties that do not arise naturally. Since, last couple of years both innovative fields of research which have shown rapid acceleration and leads over too many potential applications being proposed. However, due to a variety of challenges in the construction of meta-materials, for example overcoming the degradation of properties due to energy loss or how to fabricate large-scale meta-materials composed of nanostructures few practical applications have arrived.

Track 9: Superconductivity

Superconductivity is the property of matter when it shows zero resistance to the stream of electric current. Superconductivity attempts exceptional abilities for electric circuits. On the off chance that conveyor resistance could be wiped out totally, there would be no wasteful aspects in electric power frameworks because of stray resistances. Electric engines could be made superbly effective. The perfect attributes of segments like capacitors and inductors are typically demolished by inherent wire resistances, could be seemed well and good.

Track 10: Semiconductor Materials

Semiconductor materials are the study of research in new designs of materials and devices. Many applications are in the computer and photonic industry in devices such as transistors, lasers, and solar cells. The search and improvement for new semiconductor materials and existing materials is an important turf of study in materials science. In business world semiconductor materials play a vital role in the manufacturing of integrated devices. Materials that are used to pattern the wafer are called fab materials and materials that are used to protect are called packing materials.

Track 11: Quantum Physics

Quantum physics is the science of small things in which the quantum reality has an effect. Quantum is mentioned as discrete amount or portion. Quantum theory is the theoretic basis of modern physics which deals the nature and the behavior of energy and matter in the atomic, sub-atomic level. The performance and the nature of matter and energy at that level are stated as quantum physics. One of the most unexpected and controversial aspects of quantum physics is that it’s impossible to determine with certainty the outcome of a single experiment on a quantum system.

Track 12: Nuclear Physics

Nuclear physics is the science that studies about atomic nuclei, its constituents and interactions. The research has led to applications in many turfs such as magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, nuclear weapons, radiocarbon dating in geology and archaeology and ion implantation in materials engineering. The most usually known application of nuclear physics is nuclear power generation. The modern nuclear physics includes nuclear fusion, nuclear fission, nuclear decay and Production of "heavy" elements using atomic number greater than five.

Track 13: Nanoscale Physics

Nano-scale Physics, which many also includes as a branch of Condensed Matter Physics. Nano-scale materials straddle the edge between the molecular and the macroscopic. They are small enough to reveal characteristics suggestive of molecules but large enough for their properties to be designed and controlled to meet human needs. Physics at the nanometer scale is massively different from that of bulk materials. Nano and mesoscopic scale refers to scale between quantum physics and classical physics. Most of the research work is in the field of electronics on this scale. Biology is also included to benefit the mankind with nanotechnology. Additional motivation for this exciting area comes from the numerous applications of nanoparticles and nanostructures in magnetics and spintronics, photonics, electronics, catalysis, and medicine. Researches in Nano-science from different disciplines are interested in the same general size scale, and much of the focus is similar to that of mainstream Condensed Matter Physics with searches for novel properties and materials, such as magnetic nanoparticles, magnetic Nano-rings, graphene, carbon and boron nitride nanotubes, and fullerenes etc.

Track 14: Advanced Ceramic Materials

Advanced ceramics materials, substances and processes used in the advancement and manufacture of ceramic materials that exhibit special properties. A ceramic material is a non-metallic, inorganic, often crystalline oxide, nitride material. Some elements like carbon or silicon may be considered as ceramics. Ceramic materials are hard and strong in compression, weak in shearing and tension. They resist chemical erosion that occurs in other materials subjected to acidic or caustic environments. Ceramics generally can withstand very high temperatures.

Track 15: Bio-Physics

Bio-Physics is a branch of science that relates the strategies for material science to the investigation of natural procedures and structures. . It is an inter-disciplinary science using methods of, and theories from, physics to study biological systems. Biophysics distances all scales of biological organization, from the molecular scale to entire organisms and ecosystems. Biophysical inquire about parts critical cover with nanotechnology, computational science, organic chemistry, frameworks science, and (complex) bioengineering. It has been suggested as a scaffold amongst science and material science.
