The VeggieTime Project: Kid Power’s VeggieTime Project seeks to create a sustainable community where youth and their families provide fresh produce for themselves, effect change in the food delivery system, and seek to increase nutrition education and environmental awareness in their communities. It accomplishes this through its original nutritional science curriculum, hands-on gardening instruction, recipe development and cooking classes, and health/environmental service-learning opportunities for 425 DC youth.
Come out to support the health and wellness of DC's underserved youth while meeting the chefs who are on the forefront in the fight against youth hunger and malnutrition.
Early bird priced tickets available until August 25th!
