About this Event

KAPAAW is partnering with The University of Kentucky’s Center for Graduate and Professional Diversity Initiative and the Martin Luther King Jr. Center to facilitate the 4th Annual Sister Circle Forum, Surviving to Thriving: “Ain’t I a Woman?” The Sister Circle Forum is a FREE, full day forum for young and experienced professional women of color in the Lexington community and greater Lexington area. Through interactive workshops, poster presentations, and a dynamic keynote address, conference attendees will engage in critical conversations surrounding professional development, education and career planning, examine the historical legacy women’s rights has played in the narrative of women of color in the United States, and share in the therapeutic moments that Sister Circle provides. Join us for this dynamic experience on Friday, February 28, 2020 in the Gatton Student Center. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
