Description

The Parducci Society invites you to join us at our 4th Annual Parducci Tribute as we honor the 117th birthday of Corrado Parducci and help bring some much-deserved recognition to the artistic contributions he made to Detroit.

The Parducci Society is named after Corrado Parducci, an Italian immigrant who came to Detroit in the 1920s at the request of famous architect Albert Kahn. After completing his first commission in Detroit at the Masonic Temple, Parducci was in high-demand during Detroit’s building boom and worked on numerous iconic buildings, including the Guardian, Fisher, Penobscot, Meadow Brook Hall and many more.

Aptly located at the Masonic Temple, the site of one of Parducci’s first solo commissions in Detroit, we will offer light fare, drinks, live music by the Langley-Traines String Quartet and tours of the building led by Masonic Temple docents.

His work covers the interior of the massive building, from arches, capitals and columns to plaster medallions, ceiling decorations and more. Seeing his impressive craftsmanship in the Masonic’s grand lobby is a must for any native Detroiter or architecture enthusiast.

Everyone is welcome to this event. It’s not just for art or architecture enthusiasts. Parducci’s work is astounding and easy to appreciate. In fact, you probably know some already! And he was such an interesting person that you can’t help but be captivated by his story.

Discounted tickets are available for current Parducci Society members. Become a member today and you will be eligible for the member ticket price.
