Description

The 4th Annual North Country Telehealth Conference will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, NY. This year’s theme is “Virtual Care in a Value Based World.”

This year we are adding a pre-conference session on Wednesday, November 7th from 1-4:30pm, sponsored by the Northeast Telehealth Resource Center.

Schedule of events:

Wednesday 11/7: Pre-conference Session

1 - 2:15pm: Attendees will get a "First Look at Telehealth", learning how to connect and function in a virtual world. Speakers include Todd Young from UVM Health Network and Katy Cook from Adirondack Health Institute.

2:30 - 3:45pm: Jeremy Sherer and Amy Joseph of Hooper, Lundy & Bookman Health Care Lawyers will present on Operationalizing Telemedicine from a legal and regulatory perspective.

3:45 - 4:30pm: Presenters will facilitate a workshop where attendees will breakout into groups and work through pre-identified barriers and challenges to telehealth implementation, and how to break past these barriers to have a successful program.

Thursday 11/8: Registration & breakfast will begin at 8:00 AM with the day concluding at 3:30 PM.

We’re looking forward to this yearly event that attracts more than 150 key stakeholders including health care providers, administrators, businesses, association representatives, and government leaders.

This year's speakers include:

  • Keynote: Corey Ziegler, CIO of Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization

  • Afternoon panel session on New York State Telehealth Regulation and Reimbursement featuring Megan Prokorym from the NYS Department of Health, Amy Smith from the NYS Office of Mental Health, and Sara Osborne from the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services

  • Breakout sessions focusing on new and innovative projects including Critical Care Telemedicine, Diabetic Retinopathy, Project ECHO, and Opioid Addiction Treatment services
