Event description

Description

Eustress Inc., the Bertie County YMCA, United Services Youth Inc. and For the Love of "JBlack" present Bertie County's Fourth Annual Let's Talk About It Mental Health Awareness Walk.

There is no doubt that mental illness is a health condition that is preventable or treatable. Over 42 million people in the United States suffer from some form of mental illness, and approximately 1 in 25 adults in the U.S. will experience a serious mental illness in a given year that substantially interferes with their life activities.

Yet, the stigma associated with mental illness causes far too many people to suffer in silence.

The “Let's Talk about It Walk” will be held at Old Bertie High School. We ultimately want to show support for those in the community living with mental disorders and to encourage everyone to not be afraid to TALK ABOUT IT!

Registration Check-in for the Walk begins at 8:30 a.m

Vendors promoting resources to holistically improve one's mental health will be available beginning at 9 a.m!

The Event Program begins at 10:30 a.m.!

All proceeds will go to Eustress Inc's mission to break the stigma surrounding mental illness in the community.
