4th Annual Land Fest picnic celebrating local land conservation in Northeast Wisconsin. Featuring guided hikes led by local experts.

About this event

Join us soon for a day of outdoor exploration and camaraderie at NEWLT’s Wolf River Bayou Conservancy in Waupaca County.

This remarkable 95-acre conservancy, situated along the Wolf River, was protected between 2003 and 2006 by conservation landowners Len and Leslie Markman. The bayou protects spawning habitat for sturgeon and walleye, and acres of wooded wetland extend wildlife habitat at the neighboring Mukwa State Wildlife Area.

Together with expert hike leaders, we’ll learn about the land’s natural features and its tribal history. We’ll explore nearly 3 miles of trails, the shoreline, and enjoy good food and company.

When registering you will have the opportunity to select which pre picnic hike or activity you would like to join! We hope to see you there!
