In 2013 the OCU community was deeply impacted by the sudden loss of Josias Noel Rodriguez, a 19 year old sophomore in the traditional program. A man after God’s own heart, Josias was an incredible friend to many on campus and was known as a shining example of Christian character. The Run for Rodriguez 5k Run/Walk was established to celebrate his life. Come enjoy the beauty of OCU’s campus and the surrounding area with an invigorating run or a scenic walk. Whether you’re a first timer or a seasoned veteran, you won’t want to miss this event.
All proceeds from the 5k go to the Josias Rodriguez Ministry Scholarship Fund, which was established to preserve the legacy of this special young man. This scholarship is awarded each year to a ministerial student in need of financial assistance. Your participation in this event will honor the life and legacy of Josias Rodriguez and also impact the lives of future students seeking to further their education at Ohio Christian University.
Whether you're a first timer or a seasoned veteran, you won't want to miss this event by honoring the godly life that former student Josias Rodriguez lived. All proceeds go to the Josias Ministry Scholarship fund.
Registration Begins at 7:00 AM in the Maxwell Center and the Race will begin at 8:00 AM.
