Funds raised for this event go toward critical home repairs for veterans who can not afford to do the work themselves, to live in a safe home environment. The recipient of this years event is a 68 year old 22 year Army Veteran who needs to have his bathroom remodeled. In the year 2000, he was diagnosed with diabetes and peripheral neuropathy and is now in a wheel chair. His bathroom is not code with the door only "28 wide and the door does not allow entrance due to the proximity to the toilet. Built on a slab, the concrete has to be jackhammered up, pipes and walls shifted to allow for an ADA compliant bathroom. It will cost thousands of dollars to do this project. Please help us to help this veteran live in his home safely and with free mobility to move about.
