Description

The Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute Milwaukee Office is pleased to welcome Garrett Davis' National Award Winning Stage Play, Forget Me Not, as one of their Breaking the Silence events this year at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts!

Forget Me Not takes the audience into the life of one family's struggle to face the fact that the head of their household has Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death for all Americans and the 4th leading cause of death for older African Americans, thus furthering the need for research and participation especially by communities of color. Thanks to a panel of caregivers and experts presented during the event, guests leave equipped with answers to important questions about medical and social services that are available in their community and learn how researchers are working to find ways to prevent and more effectively treat Alzheimer's disease.

Don't miss this great opportunity to get involved and learn about brain health, community resources and research opportunities.

Take the next step and reserve your tickets now!

You can learn more about ways to get involved with the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute by visiting www.wai.wisc.edu.

Doors will open at 1:30pm and light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there!
