The National Congress of Black Women, Inc. - Kansas City Chapter (NCBW-KC) will host its 4th Annual Awards and Scholarship Gala “A Celebration of Black Women: Still Rising, Still Thriving, Still Giving” on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 7:15 p.m. The event will take place at the Grand Street Cafe, 4740 Grand Avenue, Kansas City, Mo. 64112. The gala will be hosted by renowned KSHB-41 NEWS Anchor, Cynthia Newsome. This year’s keynote speaker will be author and entrepreneur, LaDetra White of Atlanta, GA. Guests will enjoy an evening of delectable dishes, an elegant awards ceremony and sensational music. The evening will begin with a silent auction, book signing and courtesy cocktail reception at 6:15 p.m. The attire is black tie or formal. Complimentary garage parking will be available. Additionally, the awards dinner will honor public servants, professionals and community members for their dedicated service. DJ Ben Rich from 9:15pm-11:00pm. This is a served-plated three-course dinner.

VIP Admission is $125 and includes a signed copy of Keynote Speaker, LaDetra White's Book, This Is My Story, But It is Not My Life, special seating, name listed in Souvenir Journal Booklet and 2 cocktail drinks.
