Description
About
Our GATE (Our Grief And Tears Released) a wealth of resources on dealing with grief that will be provided for those with a close loss. A walk to honor the memory of loved ones in our area. Angels walk beside us across the stepping stones of life.
Mission
Our GATE (Our Grief and Tears Erased) is a support organization whose purpose is to distribute a compilation of grief resources and to offer support and scholarships so others may find some comfort as they deal with their grief. An Angel Walk is organized to walk in memory of loved ones, to provide grief resources, to encourage camaraderie of grievers and to raise funds to support the mission of the Our GATE outreach program.
General Information
Sadly we will all lose a loved one throughout our lifetime. Walking in memory of a loved one can be a very moving experience, If you know of someone who could benefit from the connection of this page please share it.
The Angel Walk will not only provide the emotional experience of remembering their ones, but will raise funds to provide resources for those who suddenly have to deal with the intense grief that affects them with a loss. These resources include websites, support groups, camps, scholarships, memorial ideas and more.
When you have a baby, there are all kinds of resources, samples, examples and hands-on experience before you go home. The other end of the spectrum, death, there is virtually nothing. ( Although those who go through hospice have more information.) The Angel Walk is in memory of loved ones and will help fund the printing of Our GATE resource folder, filled with ideas, book suggestions, memorial ideas, internet support links, local support, etc. to help those dealing with grief. We hope grief support spreads from local to nationwide.
If we are too far away for you to walk, but would like us to walk in memory of your loved one, let us know we'll have poster of names for those who cannot walk. Also this may be an idea for someone in your area to organize.
