Description

The people...the Culture...the Creativity From Medina to Mozambique to Mississippi to the Middle of East Oakland...lets celebrate the African Diaspora

Historically, trade has always been a powerful and peaceful vehicle for people to build alliances and get to know one another.
Through the sharing of ideas, resources, spirituality, etc.; the goal of the African Diaspora Bazaar and Craftsfair is to:

  • 1. PROMOTE AND SHARE THE ARTS AND CULTURE OF ALL PEOPLE OF AFRICA
  • 2. SUPPORT THE GROWTH OF THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES AND
  • 3. HIGHLIGHT THE PRESENCE OF AFRICAN (BLACK) CULTURE IN EVERYDAY OAKLAND LIFE.

Now in its 4th year, the African Diaspora Bazaar and Craftsfair is a grassroots and volunteer run event that brings together crafts artisans, local merchants, health and wellness practitioners, culinary artist, educators, authors and traditional performing artists.
