4GIRLS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and empower middle school girls to identify themselves as authentic, confident, and resilient, preparing them for real life success. This mission is carried out through an annual workshop (the 2022 workshop took place on Saturday, April 2nd) and quarterly Empowerment Events that keep the inspiration alive throughout the year.

At this Empowerment Event participants can expect to engage in a self-defense seminar led by Tara Van Deusen of the Power of One Self Defense. Tara will give participants tips on the best ways to avoid a threatening situation and what to do should they find themselves in a dangerous situation.

Participants will be moving, so girls should come in comfortable clothing prepared to move their bodies, hit some pads, and use their voices.
