Event description

Description

Our students need to learn to embody the 4Cs, to be able to think critically and adapt to new situations, to communicate their ideas effectively to both peers as well as colleagues of different backgrounds and cultures, and to collaborate and work in teams, across the room and across the globe, on problems that have no obvious solutions to be found in the back of the book. They will need to tap into creative approaches to tackle these problems and pioneer new ways of thinking. In the end, their creativity and innovation will fuel economies both at home and abroad, and create jobs which have yet to be invented.

P21's two-day 4Cs Workshop equips K-12 teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to develop, teach, and assess the 4Cs for all learners. This highly interactive workshop uses the P21 Framework as its foundation and harnesses best practices gathered from our national network of Exemplar schools. Our PBL friendly workshop introduces teachers to the research that supports the 4Cs, engages them in technology, protocols, and activities that develop the 4Cs, and gives them hands-on practice designing lessons, projects, and assessments that embed the 4Cs into classroom practice.

This workshop will take place from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm on Thursday, March 22 and Friday, March 23.
