The Mid-South Conference on Communicative Disorders is held annually in February in Memphis, TN. The 2-day conference is designed to provide audiologists and speech-language pathologists with information regarding current research, new concepts and best practice procedures in the clinic, and newly developed clinical techniques. Organized in 1970, the Mid-South Conference is the oldest and largest student sponsored conference in the country, drawing over 600 audiologists, speech-language pathologists, educators, physicians, and parents from the U.S. and Canada. It features a variety of nationally and internationally recognized guest speakers in the field of communication sciences and disorders who offer workshops and short courses. The conference is the major activity organized and conducted by the graduate students of The University of Memphis Chapter of NSSLHA. Attendees are able to earn up to 1.30 CEUs (AAA) and 1.35 CEUs (ASHA).
