A fund-raiser to benefit SFVS & 14th Annual WORLD VEG FESTIVAL www.worldvegfestival.com

at Miyoko’s Lovely Home, San Anselmo, Saturday, August 31, 3 to 6 p.m.

Entertainment & Silent Auction.

$55 per person, tax deductible. Limited space.

Gourmet Vegan Creations from two great Chefs:

Miyoko Schinner, author of several cookbooks including Now & Zen Epicure and the all-new Artisan Vegan Cheese, is host of “Miyoko’s Kitchen” and co-host of “Vegan Mash-Up,” a successful public television show produced by Delicious TV that aired on PBS stations throughout U.S. this past year. A new series is being filmed for a new season. She also was the founder of the Now & Zen Restaurant and creator of the original UnTurkey. Lisa Books-Williams, winner of Best of Raw NYC 2010 & 1st Place Winner for Vegan Iron Chef SF 2013, has been teaching cooking and raw food classes in San Francisco & Bay Area for 8 years. She co-developed a Plant Based Diet Program for Kaiser Permanente and has been teaching there since 2012. She has also taught staff & patients at Herrick, Laguna Honda, VA Livermore, and VA Menlo Park Hospitals. She is a Certified Green Chef Instructor, founder of the Tri-Valley Vegetarian Society, and caterer for the evening World Veg Festival Dinners 2010 & 2011. San Francisco Vegetarian Society

The San Francisco Vegetarian Society (SFVS) is a non-profit organization that has been working in the Bay Area for over 25 years promoting a vegetarian diet as a healthful and humane way of life.

The Society is run entirely by volunteers. We always appreciate help, whether it is available once in a while or on an ongoing basis. You can volunteer to help with a variety of activities, from coordinating our programs to helping at our events. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact us.

The Society hosts events throughout the year such as vegetarian potlucks, picnics, dining out and lectures. Monthly meetings held most months. Please check our hotline, 415-273-5481 for details.
