Event description

Description

The primary mission of the NCCJ of Alabama's all-volunteer board is to promote inclusive and accepting communities through education and advocacy. The Brotherhood and Sisterhood Awards Dinner is an opportunity for us to celebrate important change-makers in our community while raising funds for Anytown Alabama, a social justice leadership institute for high school students run in partnership with the YWCA of Central Alabama.

Our 2017 Dinner Chair is Jim Gorrie of Brasfield & Gorrie, and several esteemed community members will be honored for their exceptional service and commitment to making our community better. For brevity's sake, we’ll not list all of their numerous contributions here, but our honorees are: Odessa Woolfolk, founding chair of the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, Keith Cromwell, Executive Director of Red Mountain Theatre Company, General Charles Krulak, Retired U.S. Marine Commandant and former president of Birmingham-Southern College, and Joyce Spielberger, Executive Director of MAGIC Moments.

Please join us on March 9th!
