Event description

Description

Join us for the 40th Annual Social Ministry Convocation (SMC) on March 2, 2019 for a day of prayer, education, and solidarity to inspire and renew us in living out Catholic Social Teaching and working for a peaceful and just society.

The theme Seek Justice, Win Peace! adds energy to a timeless, inspiring quote from Pope Paul VI, "If you want peace, work for justice." We dedicate this theme to our 40 years of continually gathering together in pursuit of justice so that peace will prevail in our local and global communities.

Workshops will be available in English and Spanish and include topics such as: exploring civic engagement, opioid and alcohol use disorders, migration movements in Central America, engaging young adults in social justice ministry, and more!

Each participant will have an opportunity to win one of our 40th Anniversary door prizes! (You must be present at the drawing to win.)

Register by February 22nd to guarantee lunch.

Any inclement weather updates will be posted at the top of this page.
