Event description

Description

On behalf of The San Bernardino Valley Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (“SBVC”) we would like to personally invite you to attend and support our 40th Annual Scholarship Breakfast Ball Fundraiser. The event will be held on May 12, 2018 at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California. Our theme for the 40th Annual Scholarship Ball is “Teach One”. At this year’s ball, we will continue our tradition of awarding scholarships to African-American high school seniors and law school students who have demonstrated their ability to overcome obstacles and excel academically. Additionally, we will honor remarkable community leaders who have exemplified SBVC’s goals and mission and who have worked to serve, lead and educate our next generation of leaders. This year, we are proud to honor leaders in the areas of the Arts (Charles Bibbs, Internationally Recognized Artist, Entreprenuer, and Philantropist), National Trends Services (Linda Hart, Founder/Executive Director, Africian American Mental Health Coalition), and International Trends and Services (Evelyan Thomas MD, FACOG, Medical Missionary (Retired). We look forward to another impactful year that will showcase SBVC’s 40 years of commitment to the local community.

The Links, Incorporated recognizes the importance of preparing today’s youth for the challenges of an increasingly competitive, global economy. We know you understand the importance of the financial support that SBVC has provided to students over the years. We therefore ask you to join us as a sponsor of our Scholarship Ball this year. The generosity of supporters like you helps to ensure SBVC’s continued success in achieving its goals to promote equal access and opportunity through community service, and educational programs. Your support enables SBVC to annually award scholarships to many outstanding and deserving students. We are humbled to have awarded almost a half a million dollars to deserving students in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. Your scholarship donation will be tax deductible as The Link Foundation, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose mission is dedicated to charitable, educational and community-based services.

We look forward to having you recognized as a supporter and contributor.
